The IEEE Electronic Devices Technology and Manufacturing (EDTM) Conference 2024 was a momentous event for the IEEE EDS Student Branch Chapter, University of Dhaka (IEEE EDS SBC DU), as our students actively participated and showcased their research contributions. A group of student members from IEEE EDS SBC DU successfully presented their research poster at the conference, marking a significant achievement for our chapter. Their participation provided an excellent opportunity to engage with global experts, exchange ideas, and explore cutting-edge developments in the field of electronic devices and semiconductors.
One of the most remarkable moments of the event was the interaction with Dr. Bin Zhao, the President of IEEE Electron Devices Society. Our student members had the privilege of discussing their research and the initiatives of IEEE EDS SBC DU, sharing insights on upcoming activities and collaborations. Dr. Zhao expressed great appreciation and encouragement for our chapter’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of student-driven innovation and engagement in semiconductor research.
Paper Presentation by Dr. Mainul Hossain and His Research Team
In addition to the student poster presentation, Dr. Mainul Hossain, Associate Professor at the Department of EEE, University of Dhaka, attended the conference along with his four students, where they presented their research papers on advanced topics in semiconductor technology and electronic devices.
Their presentations received positive recognition from conference attendees and experts, further establishing the University of Dhaka’s contributions to cutting-edge research in electronic devices and manufacturing.
